Camping

I was just looking through some old pictures on my phone an realized I have not blogged about going camping there in September.

Josh's grandparents have a trailer near morpeth.. ( it's been so long I can't remember what it was called) anyways they offered it up to us whenever we like. We spent 4 days there- it was nice and quiet- Benjamin loved running around and playing in the puddles. We can't wait till next years trip!

50th surprise party

Since I have not blogged about it yet, we had a surprise birthday party for Theresa's 50th. We invited her up to our house for dinner and we had about 20 people here to surprise her. She was definitely surprised but for some odd reason she arrived early to the house and some people had not even arrived yet. She had a great time, lots of family, friends cake and laughter. Here are a few photos from the party

Video Friday

I am going to try to post a new video every Friday to keep things updated...

so here is today's

Benjamin will sometimes play in his crib before or after nap time. There has been times he will play for over an hour. He just sits and talks, laughs, plays with his mobile or bangs around the plastic crib saver.
There was a time when we heard a loud "bang" and Josh and I both ran upstairs thinking he fell out of his crib.. to find the crib saver half way across the room!

potty time

Ever since Benjamin could walk we have been trying to get him to use the potty, some days are great and others not so much. I know it's a little early but the sooner he is out of diapers the better!

i'm "pinning"

Another thing that has kept me away for so long is a little thing callled Pintrest. As most of you who know me have heard me talking about pintrest and how AMAZING it is.

It is a website where you can find anything from home decore, DIY ideas, holiday ideas, crafts, hair ideas, quotes, photo's pretty much everything.

When I actually get a chance to use the computer that's where I head.. and usually get lost for quite some time. I have learned great hairstyles, cleaning tips, organizing ideas we even made out own homemade laundry and dish soap with receipes from the site.

It has CHANGED my life ( and everyone else's I have introduced the website too )

take a look if you havn't already ..... www.pintrest.com

Daycare

Benjamin has gone to daycare once a week for the past few weeks. I always ask them how he was.. and this is what I was told last time..

"well he growls alot... and he is not patient around snack time - he demands to be fed by yelling at me.

 lol what a kid!

long overdue

I think this blog is due for a little update.

I have so much to blog about but can't seem to find the time to do it!

Between work, house cleaning, running around after a busy toddler and  trying to get the most out of the last few nice days of fall.. once Benjamin is in bed I give up on the day and retire.

I don't know how many people get around to reading this but if you do feel free to leave comments.. It might keep me more motivated :)

stay tuned...

Josh's Birthday

Usually every year on our birthdays we try to do a day trip. Josh has been talking about the Lion Safari for months, so I purchased him tickets a few weeks before. We stayed overnight in Cambridge so it was a short drive in the morning. It was a little rainy but the locals said that was the best time to go

We have been there a few times now and I have to say this by far was the best trip yet!
Maybe because we got to see and do just about everything the park had to offer, or maybe because the animals were all out and playing but I think the best part was seeing how much fun Benjamin and Josh were having. It was so adorable listening to Benjamin doing all the animal noises. or watching Josh get excited when the lion came right up to our car and was roaring at our window!
On there way to the swimming hole

beautiful Lioness

family

Don`t worry- completely legal - at least other people were doing it too. Benjamin thought it was the greatest thing ever sitting in the front seat. He would not sit still - pressing buttons, climbing all over, honking the horn!

Monkey came right onto our car!

What are you lookin` at

Rhino skull

we also took a train ride through the park - if your wondering about Benjamin`s head- this is actually with a few days of healing - He fell down face first onto cement. poor guy

baby peacocks

They walked alongside of the train - I think josh even pet one as we went by

  • Benjamin giving mommy kisses ( I try to get as many as possible in day)

these birds were so incredible - they could say something like 40 words and tunes.

can`t leave without a souviner

StoryBook Gardens

Josh and I were trying to plan a little get away, nothing special just to do something different. I really wanted to bring Benjamin but he wanted to have a night to ourselves. So we compromised, the first day we would have to ourselves and the second we would spend as a family.
So Josh and I went to London-we stayed at this beautiful hotel it was just a bestwestern but it had really nice rooms and beautiful pool area with a water slide and hot tub.
We also had a nice dinner there, then off to see Harry Potter in 3D!
The next day Josh's mom, Amy ( Jake's girlfriend), Benjamin and our cousin Emma met us at Story book Gardens.
Benjamin and Daddy on a ride
There were a few animals out and about
                                             watching the seals swim
But if I were to guess what Benjamin's favourites of the day were; it would be the sand and water place, bubbles and the water park.

It took us a long time to get him to come out and into the water park to clean off.

Benjamin was so tired by the end of the day he actually fell asleep on the little train.
all and all it was a great day, everyone had fun and a big thank you to Nana for watching Benjamin overnight so we could have a date night :)
